Headed to the Sun Dome

The North Mason High School girls basketball team blew past Renton 44-30 in the opening round of the 2A state tournament Friday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma. The win sent the No. 12 seeded Bulldogs, who are making their first state tournament appearance since 1989, to the Sun Dome in Yakima. They faced No. 4 seed W.F. West on Wednesday night, after the Journal's press time.
