North Mason schools sued

A five-year-old North Mason School District kindergartener was allegedly “sexually assaulted while riding to school on the bus” by another student, according to a complaint filed on May 12 by the child’s mother in Mason County Superior Court.

The child, who’s seven now, had only been enrolled at Belfair Elementary for two days when the alleged assault happened on Jan. 5, 2024, the complaint states.
