Belfair library and Salmon Center to release fry

The Belfair library and the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group will release aquarium fry at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Theler Wetlands Trail, 22641 state Route 3, in Belfair, by the Theler Exhibit Center.

The fry hatched from eggs in a library aquarium.

"Each year, we set up the aquarium in December in anticipation of receiving about 250 chum eggs from the McKernan Hatchery in January. This tank can be viewed by anyone during the library's open hours.
