Roger M. Alberts

Roger Alberts, age 75, passed away April 23rd in the Memory Care unit at Alpine Way, of cardiac arrest. He had been suffering from dementia during recent years. Born and raised in Renton, WA, he graduated from Renton High School and went on to attend several colleges, graduating with a degree in Business Administration from the University of WA. He worked as a Purchasing Agent, first at Sears from 1967-80, then at The Boeing Company from 1980-2004. He was well-respected among his peers. He also served in the Army Reserves.

He met wife Robbi while playing softball in a tavern league in Renton, and they married in 1990. They both retired in April 2004 and moved full-time to their home on Lake Limerick in Shelton, WA. After retiring, Roger studied to become a Master Gardener. He was elected to the Lake Limerick Water Committee, where he served as Treasurer for several years.

Roger was witty and funny, with a great sense of humor. He was thoughtful, quiet, loving and kind. He was a handyman, craftsman, woodworker and organizer. He was adventurous, inquisitive and a pet-lover. He enjoyed playing volleyball, softball and golf. He headed up the Men's 9-Hole League at Lake Limerick for many years. He was a fisherman and a UW fanatic. He was a gentle giant, and will truly be missed by so many friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
