    The Shelton boys golf team fell to W.F. West 239-251 in an Evergreen Conference boys golf match Sept. 27 at Newaukum Valley Golf Course in Chehalis. Shelton's Carson Harmon earned medalist honors with a 44. Austin Covert shot a 46, and James Marbet and Zane Scott each carded a 53.     Shelton girls soccer Shelton lost a pair of Evergreen Conference girls soccer games last week, including a 1-0 loss Oct. 3 at Black Hills and a 1-0 loss to W.F. West at Highclimber Stadium.     The HUB Center in Belfair hosts its fourth annual Haunted HUB Drive Thru starting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at 111 N.E. Old Belfair Highway. The event is billed as kid friendly.   • Port of Allyn appoints Dennis as interim director

    LeAnn Dennis will act as Port of Allyn interim director until a new executive director can be hired to replace Lary Coppola, who died Sept. 30. The Port board voted unanimously to appoint Dennis at an Oct. 9 special meeting. Coppola was the executive director of the port since 2015.
