Shelton girls soccer

Shelton lost a pair of Evergreen Conference girls soccer games last week, including a 1-0 loss Oct. 3 at Black Hills and a 1-0 loss to W.F. West at Highclimber Stadium.

The Highclimbers (2-7-1, 1-6) took on Elma at home Tuesday in a nonleague game. Shelton travels to Centralia to play Centralia at 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.

Shelton girls swimming

The Shelton girls swim team earned a 114-54 win against Black Hills in an Evergreen Conference match at the Shelton High School pool.

Shelton hosted Centralia, Rochester and W.F. West in a conference meet on Tuesday. The Highclimbers host Eatonville at 4 p.m. today in a nonleague swim meet.

Shelton boys tennis

The Shelton boys tennis team lost 4-2 to W.F. West on Oct. 3 in Chehalis and 5-1 to Centralia on Oct. 4 in Centralia, but bounced back Oct. 5 with a 5-1 win against Black Hills in an Evergreen Conference match in Shelton.

Shelton hosted Tumwater on Oct. 6, W.F. West on Oct. 10 and Aberdeen on Oct. 11 in conference matches to end the regular season.

Shelton volleyball

Shelton lost to Black Hills 3-0 on Oct. 3 in at the Mini-Dome and fell 3-1 on Oct. 5 to W.F. West in Chehalis.

The Highclimbers (2-6, 2-5) play

Centralia at 7 p.m. today in Shelton.

Shelton cross country

Shelton senior Carson Bursch finished fourth at an Evergreen Conference meet with Aberdeen, Black Hills and Centralia on Oct. 4 at the Huff‘n’Puff trail in Shelton.

Bursch completed the race in 17 minutes, 39 seconds. Junior Jack Parker placed seventh in 18:36. Senior Richard Beckman placed 14th, sophomore Trayson Bartholomew placed 16th, sophomore Caleb Hensrude took 18th place and junior Jackson Dale finished 19th.

In the girls race, first-year student Anna Miller was the only competitor for the Highclimbers, taking 13th in 27:22.

Shelton competed in the Fall Classic Invitational on Oct. 7 at the Pacific Lutheran University’s Disc Golf Course in Tacoma. In the girls race, senior Lily Bennett placed 20th in 20:26.8. In the boys race, Bursch finished 12th in 16:44.

Shelton competed in a conference meet Wednesday against Tumwater, W.F. West and Aberdeen at Makarenko Park in Cosmopolis.

North Mason cross country

Junior Jackson Bergdahl finished 23rd to lead the way for the Bulldogs at an Olympic League cross country meet at Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island.

Bergdahl finished the race in 18:19. Sophomore Anders Oldright placed 62nd, senior Ben Ford placed 64th, senior Austin Kudera placed 79th and junior Jaiden Greet placed 81st.

In the girls race, first-year student Charlotte Kudera led the Bulldogs with a 36th place finish in 26:40. Junior Alexis Antonowicz placed 45th, first-year student Hannah Alonzo Miguel placed 46th and junior Hallie Hembury earned 59th place.

The Bulldogs hosted an Olympic League meet on Wednesday in Belfair.

North Mason football

North Mason fell 41-0 to Bainbridge in an Olympic League football game on Friday night in Belfair.

The Bulldogs (1-5, 1-3) travel to Sequim on Friday for a league game.

North Mason girls soccer

North Mason lost 8-0 to North Kitsap on Oct. 3 in Poulsbo and lost 9-0 to Sequim on Oct. 5 in Sequim.

The Bulldogs (2-8, 1-8) hosted Bainbridge on Tuesday in Belfair and travel to Port Angeles and play at 7:15 p.m. today in a league game. The Bulldogs host La Conner at 6 p.m. Friday in Belfair.

North Mason boys tennis

North Mason fell 7-0 to Olympic on Oct. 5 in Belfair.

The Bulldogs hosted North Kitsap on Wednesday and are scheduled to travel to Bainbridge for a match at 4 p.m. today in Bainbridge.

North Mason volleyball

North Mason fell in two Olympic League games last week.

The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to North Kitsap on Oct. 3 in Poulsbo with set scores of 13-25, 11-25 and 15-25. Junior libero Alyssa Pomrenke had one ace, one kill and five digs. Junior outside hitter Adrianne Tupolo had one ace, four kills and two digs and junior middle blocker Adrianna Tupolo tallied one ace, seven kills, one block and two digs.

The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to Sequim on Oct. 5 in Belfair with set scores of 20-25, 19-25 and 18-25. Pomrenke had seven aces and four digs. Adrianna Tupolo had two aces, two kills and three blocks and junior setter Kalli Wynn had one kill, nine assists and three digs.

North Mason traveled to Bainbridge on Tuesday for a league game. The Bulldogs host Port Angeles at 6:45 p.m. today in Belfair.

Mary M. Knight football

Mary M. Knight lost 27-6 against Quilcene in a nonleague football game on Oct. 4 in Matlock. MMK (0-5, 0-3) travels to Franklin Pierce High School on Saturday at 2 p.m. to take on Northwest Christian (Lacey) in a league game.

Mary M. Knight volleyball

Mary M. Knight lost 3-1 to Lake Quinault on Oct. 3 in Matlock, but bounced back with a 3-1 win against Wishkah Valley on Oct. 5 in Wishkah and a 3-1 win against Ilwaco in a nonleague game on Monday in Matlock.

MMK (6-7, 4-1) traveled to Oakville on Tuesday for a league match. The Owls host Taholah at 7 p.m. today in Matlock.
