Shelton baseball

Shelton won 8-0 against Black Hills on April 23 in Tumwater and won 15-0 on April 24 against Black Hills in Shelton in Evergreen Conference baseball games.

The Highclimbers (11-7, 7-5) scheduled game against Rochester on April 27 was rescheduled to Wednesday in Rochester. Shelton wraps up the regular season at 4:30 p.m. today against Tenino in a nonleague game on senior night.

Shelton girls golf

Shelton lost to Rochester 38-22 in an Evergreen Conference girls golf match on April 24 at Lake Limerick Golf Course in Shelton.

Gwenny Smith led the Highclimbers with 12 points. Andrea Fogo tallied seven points and Zariah Jackson scored three points. Lisette Navarrete and Khaysha Lefthandbull each didn’t score.

Rochester’s Izzy Masias earned medalist honors with 18 points.

“The stars were not aligned for us in this match, but the girls continued to battle,” Shelton coach Lorna Martinson told the Journal.

Shelton lost to Aberdeen 95-29 in a conference match Monday at Alderbrook Golf Course in Union.

Smith again led the Highclimbers with 12 points. Fogo tallied seven points, Stevens scored six points and Jackson recorded four points. Cyann Mobley and Lefthandbull each scored two points.

Aberdeen’s Britt Rajcich earned medalist with 41 points.

“This match was our senior night, so we got to highlight both Gwenny and Khaysha and thank them for their dedication to the golf team,” Martinson told the Journal. “Both of these girls are a big plus for our team. In true fashion, Gwenny continues to lead this team while our beginners are just so close to scoring more points. Every girl on the team is getting to the greens now, but not capitalizing on their putting opportunities just yet.”

Shelton played against W.F. West on Wednesday at Newaukum Valley Golf Course in Chehalis. Smith, Stevens and Fogo will compete in the 2A Evergreen League championship tournament on Monday at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis.

Shelton boys soccer

Shelton won 4-0 against Rochester on April 23 in Shelton but lost 1-0 against Aberdeen on April 25 on senior night in Shelton. Shelton wrapped up the regular season with a 2-0 win against Black Hills on Monday in Tumwater.

Shelton finished fifth in the Evergreen Conference standings with a 6-7-1 overall regular season record and 5-7 in Evergreen Conference games.

Shelton softball

Shelton lost 24-2 against Tumwater on April 24 in Tumwater but bounced back with a 13-3 win against Black Hills on April 26 in Shelton. Shelton lost 12-1 to Rochester on Monday in Rochester.

Shelton (2-15, 0-9) traveled to Aberdeen on Wednesday for a conference game. The Highclimbers play against Black Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday in Shelton and travel to Chehalis at 6 p.m. on Monday to play against W.F. West in a conference game.

North Mason baseball

North Mason lost 4-3 against Sequim on April 24 in Sequim before falling 14-7 against Bainbridge on April 26 at Bainbridge High School.

North Mason ended the regular season Tuesday against Bainbridge on senior night in Belfair.

North Mason girls golf

North Mason lost 216-194 against Port Angeles on April 25 at Peninsula Golf Course in Port Angeles.

The Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season against Bremerton on Tuesday at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton.

North Mason boys golf

North Mason lost 209-163 against Port Angeles on April 25 at Peninsula Golf Course in Port Angeles.

The Bulldogs played against Bremerton on Tuesday at Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton. North Mason competes at noon today at Port Ludlow Golf Course in Port Ludlow for the North Kitsap Invitational. The Bulldogs compete in the District 3 tournament at 8 a.m. on Monday at Kitsap Golf and Country Club in Kingston.

North Mason boys soccer

North Mason lost 1-0 against Bremerton on April 23 in Bremerton and lost 3-1 against Sequim on April 27 in Sequim in Olympic League games.

The Bulldogs (5-6-1, 5-6) traveled to Kingston on Tuesday for a league game. North Mason plays at 6:45 p.m. on Friday against North Kitsap at Phil Pugh Stadium in Belfair and wraps up the regular season at 2 p.m. on Saturday against Olympic at Phil Pugh Stadium on senior night.

North Mason softball

North Mason lost 20-0 against Port Angeles on April 23 in Port Angeles.

The Bulldogs (7-7, 2-7) scheduled game against Bremerton on April 25 in Belfair was canceled. North Mason played against Sequim on Tuesday in Sequim and play at 4:15 p.m. today against Olympic in Bremerton in an Olympic League game. North Mason plays against Eatonville at 4:15 p.m. on Monday in Eatonville in a nonleague game.

North Mason girls tennis

The Bulldogs played against Bremerton on Wednesday in Bremerton. North Mason plays at 4 p.m. today against North Kitsap in Poulsbo in an Olympic League match to wrap up the regular season.

Mary M. Knight baseball

Mary M. Knight lost 16-0 against Lake Quinault in a 1B Coastal League baseball game on Monday in Matlock.

The Owls (0-9, 0-5) play at 4 p.m. today against the Comets in a league game in Naselle.

Mary M. Knight track

Mary M. Knight sophomore Logan Green finished second in the high jump and sophomores Zoie Anderson and Andiana Ziegler each placed third at a 1B Coastal League track and field meet April 25 at Jack Sam Rottle Field in Montesano.

Ziegler finished third in the 400-meter race in 1 minute, 13.97 seconds and Anderson placed third in the high jump with a height of 4 feet, 2

inches. Green finished second in the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 4 inches.

Freshman Bella Buck finished fifth in the shot put and javelin and Ziegler also finished fifth in the 1,600-meter race. Freshman Gabe Walters finished seventh in the discus.

The Owls are back in Montesano at 3:30 p.m. today for another league track & field meet.
