Hood Canal Lions Club

The Hood Canal Lions Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships to Shelton High School seniors, with a preference for students who attended Hood Canal Schools.

The scholarships can be used for enrollment at any accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school, in or out of state. The recipient must enroll in the institution during the school year following graduation and be enrolled full time.

The scholarship money will be paid to the educational institution registrar upon proof of registration. Application forms are available on the Hood Canal Lions Facebook website, Peace Love Union website and at the Shelton High School counseling center.

Shelton and Skookum Rotary clubs

Friday is the deadline to apply for scholarships from the Shelton and Skookum Rotary clubs.

Scholarships are available in the categories of academic education, continuing education and vocational/trades education.

The Robert Burns scholarship is awarded to applicants going into the performing arts, the Janis Byrd scholarship for business art, the Mary Penny scholarship for the medical arts and the Bryson Finlay scholarship for the computer arts.

Mason General Hospital Foundation Centennial Guild

May 1 is the deadline to apply for a scholarship from the Mason General Hospital Foundation Centennial Guild.

The scholarship is open to any Mason County resident seeking an education in medicine. For more information, contact Kim McElliott at [email protected].

Pioneer Community Kiwanis Club

The Pioneer Community Kiwanis Club is offering scholarships for 2024 graduates with a diploma or GED who live in the Pioneer School District, attended Pioneer schools and are going to college, technical training or trade school.

The scholarships will be at least $1,000. Applications must be postmarked by April 15. Applications are available in the counseling offices at Shelton, Cedar, CHOICE and North Mason high schools. Harstine Island Women’s Club

The Harstine Island Women’s Club through its Charles and Judy Chase Scholarship Fund is offering scholarships to full-time residents of Harstine Island who are entering or continuing a post-high school education, including adult continuing education or technical training.

Applicants must have obtained a diploma from an accredited high school program or earned a GED. Applications will be accepted through May 15, and the winners will be announced by May 31.

The number and amount of the scholarships will be determined at the time the scholarship recipients are selected.

Applications and scholarship details are available at Shelton, Cedar, CHOICE and North Mason high schools, Olympic College Shelton, South Puget Sound Community College and Gravity Learning Center in Shelton.

The Harstine Island Theatre Club

The Harstine Island Theatre Club is offering a $500 scholarship.

Allocations and guidelines are available at CHOICE, Cedar, Shelton, Mary M. Knight and North Mason high schools, and at Olympic College Shelton.

Aug. 1 is the deadline to apply, and the winner will be announced by Aug. 15. Completed applications can be mailed to HI Theatre Club, Dee Anne Meacham, P.O. Box 1054, Shelton, WA 98584. For more information, call Meacham at 360-481-5038.

Shelton Kiwanis Foundation

The Shelton Kiwanis Foundation will award scholarships to graduating seniors from Shelton, CHOICE and Cedar high schools, Shelton area home-school students and/or the Running Start program.

Scholarships are available in the areas of education, general academics, science, nursing, and career and technical education.
