Darrell R. Reed

Darrell R. Reed went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2024. A resident of Shelton for 25 years, and a member of the Skokomish Community Church. He retired from Simpson Paper in Anderson, CA in 1998, and then moved to Shelton with his wife of 56 years, Carol Reed. Darrell was also a skilled craftsman in masonry and construction. He hunted and fished his whole life, and taught many about the great outdoors. Darrell loved horses, old movies, and God. He was known for his kind, generous heart, and the love he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, son Bill Reed (Melanie) and daughter Michelle Goode; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, his brothers Gene (Nancy), Dave (Kathy) and sister Judy Bybee and numerous friends.

A service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Skokomish Community Church with overflow parking at the Grange. Shuttle provided. Food and beverages will be served following the service.
