Wade Samuel Ogg

Wade Samuel Ogg, 63, of Ruston Washington, passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2024, surrounded by family after his battle with Cancer.

Wade was born June 3, 1960 to Ancil (Sam) Ogg and Marguerite (Maggie) Ogg. He went through his school years in Shelton, graduating with High Honors from Shelton High School in 1978. He then went on to PLU where he graduated with an Engineering degree. Wade worked at PUD #3 in Shelton, then Tacoma Power and Light before moving to Seattle City Light as a Lineman. He worked at Labor and Industries as a High Voltage Electrical inspector and, at Velitom as a Safety inspector before retiring where he worked part time at Safeway.

Wade had a passion for snow skiing, water skiing, biking, rowing and hiking, basically anything out doors, and shared this love with family and friends. Wade was part of the Mayfest Dance Group that performed annually in Leavenworth, they also traveled internationally. He was also very active in the Boys and Girls Club.

Wade is known for his gentle and kind manor, his infections smile and his laugh.

Wade was predeceased by his father, Ancil (Sam) Ogg. He is survived by his Mother, Marguerite (Kuhnle) Ogg, sister Doreen Maddox (Patrick), sister Valerie James (Dennis), brother Darin Ogg (Lisa), also aunts, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club or the American Cancer Society.

Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard, but always near still loved,

still missed and very dear.
