Phylis (Fox) Johnston

Phylis (Fox) Johnston passed away this past Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born in Los Angeles in 1927, married to Art Johnston in 1950 and together they raised six children, Que (Susan) Estavia, Jeanette Lewis, Penelope Johnston, Rebecca Lomas, Arthur and Charles Johnston.

She especially enjoyed family, church activities, camping, travel, games and creative activities. Having grown up during the depression, Phylis was very good at finding ways to make do with less, even when she could afford more. Many of her family can attest to times she unselfishly came to the aid of others, even sometimes for extended periods. During her retirement she was able to live with several of her adult children and enjoy her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service Saturday afternoon - probably 2:00 p.m., January 27, 2024 at Shelton Seventh-day Adventist Church.
