Joanie Bakken

Joanie Bakken passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

She leaves behind her four children, Brian Hanson, Eileen Tribble, Karl Hanson, Mary Schaffer, two step-sons, Bruce Bakken and Brad Bakken, as well as 13 grandchildren; also two younger sisters, Jill Christian and Jacque Dilger.

She loved her Labrador dogs, crafting, baking and canning preserves. She was always wearing bright colors like purple and fancy glittering earrings. She loved her church family in Belfair and helping the elderly.

A celebration of life for Joanie is planned on what would have been her 85th birthday, on Hood Canal.
