Fundraiser for HUB at Casey's Monday
Casey's Bar & Grille in Belfair hosts a fundraiser for the HUB Center for Seniors from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday at the restaurant at 24090 N.E. state Route 3.
During that time, 50% of the sales - excluding pull tabs - will go to The HUB to help pay back a $150,000 Economic Injury Disaster Loan during the COVID pandemic to keep operations running and serving the community. The restaurant will also host a silent auction and accept donations in a raffle basket.
The series of fundraisers is called Out on the Town to Drive Down the Loan. In September, the food truck Wise Guys Italian Food raised more than $6,500, Executive Director Beth Gizzi wrote in an email to the Herald. In October, Burger Claim and More hosted the fundraiser.
On Dec. 16, Bent Bine Brewery will host the fundraiser. The HUB is seeking a local business to host the January event.
Donations can be made at http://www.HUBHappenings.org or by mail to P.O. Box 2697, Belfair 98528. Donations are tax deductible and the nonprofit's tax number is #02-0700148.
