Dedicated to the citizens of Mason County, Washington since 1886
Johanna "Jo" Lee Cuzick, born January 14, 1966 to Linda Stewart and Wiley Cuzick, Jr., has lost her battle with cervical cancer, on July 24, 2023, in Bremerton with her daughter Jami Sorensen Trujillo by her side.
Mom was one-of-a-kind soul, if you knew her she was always the loudest in the room, her laughter was contagious, and her eyes were mesmerizing. She always had a smile on her face, and would do anything for anyone. Jo loved her loud music, animals, outdoors, the beautiful Hood Canal, where she spent most of her life mushroom picking with her grandson Bubba, and watching her granddaughter Yaya play.
Jo worked at Hama Hama Oyster Co. shucking oysters for many years, The Hoodsport Inn, Hood Canal Gas Station (before it was a grocery store IGA) and she also was a business owner of Sorensen Shellfish.
She is survived by her father Wiley Cuzick, Jr., her mother-in-law Terri Lynn, extra special Mom, Marlene Cuzick, all of Shelton, and also her mother Linda Deyette of Montesano. Also survived by sisters, Lisa Brocious, Cindy Petratis and Jessyca Cuzick, all of Shelton; brothers, Jamie Cuzick of Shelton and Brian, daughter Jami Sorensen Trujillo, son-in-law Jason Trujillo, grandson Christopher Sorensen Trujillo (Bubba) and granddaughter Jawzlynn (Yaya) of Bremerton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and her best friend, Virginia Corey.
