Resilience Run

Turning Pointe Survivor Advocacy Center, Mason Health and the Shelton YMCA honored the deceased Jenna Allred and brought awareness to domestic violence and available resources by hosting the 5K Resilience Run on Saturday. The run started and ended at Shelton's Huff'n'Puff Trail. The event raised $6,500. Madeline Allred tells the crowd her mother, Jenna, would have been honored to have a run dedicated to her. Richard Beckman placed second with a time of 21.29.56. Jaydon Blackburn was first among the males with a time of 17:14:36, and Nathan Gomez third with 23.16.40. The top female finishers were first place, a tie between Ali Clifton and Emily Moore at 24:58:15; second place, Stephanie Slakey, 25:29; and third place, Jennifer Beierle, 27:06. The crowd gathers in the Huff'n'Puff Trail parking lot before the race. The event drew 150 walkers and runners.
