Troy Lee Bina

Troy Lee Bina, 53, passed away at home in Lillington, NC on Friday, November 18th, 2022. He was born on June 25th, 1969 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Dan and Mary. He graduated from Shelton High School in 1988 and worked as a security guard at the Shelton saw mill during his senior year. Following his graduation, Troy worked in Alaska on a fishing boat. Troy's oldest son Dashedin Goldsby was born 1988. Troy moved to North Carolina with his wife Teresa and children Josh and TJ in 1995, and had Janay in 1996. Troy worked for many years as a steel worker and settled in Lillington, NC with his family. Troy enjoyed working on cars and trucks, most recently his beloved 1977 blue ford F150 passed down to him from his dad Dan. Troy was a mechanic at heart and could fix just about anything mechanical. In recent years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.

Troy is survived by his wife Teresa, son Josh (Brittney) Bina, daughter Janay Harper – all of Lillington, NC. Also, son Dashedin Goldsby of Elma, WA, father Dan (Kathy) Bina, sisters Debi (Steve) Smith, Rana (Bear) Lewis, Angie Carkhuff, brother Mike Carkhuff – all of Shelton, WA, and his "BFF For Life" Bill (Danyall) Knannlein of Puyallup, WA. Troy also leaves many extended family members in the Shelton, WA area.

Troy is preceded in death by his mother Mary Parks (Dickinson) in 2002, as well as his son Troy Bina, Jr. (TJ) in 2022.

Troy will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew and loved him.

A casual celebration of life honoring Troy will be held on August 12th, 2023 at 4441 W. Dayton Airport Road, Shelton at 11:00 am. We ask that you BYOB, a lawn chair and your stories of your time with Troy.
