Peace Valley Barefoot Festival staged Aug. 11-13

Live performances by more than 20 bands and solo musicians, laser and pyro shows, a circus tent and an 80-foot illuminated sphere are among the offerings at the Peace Valley Barefoot Festival, hosted Aug. 11-13 at Peace Valley Farmgrounds between Shelton and Matlock.

The festival at 2620 W. Little Egypt Road is staged by the nonprofit Sweitzer Strong Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting and educating people who are affected by traumatic brain injury. The organization's major goal is to build The Sweitzer House, where families can stay while they learn how to care for loved ones in their own home.

Tickets are available for one day, or all three days.

Single-day festival tickets are $40, or $60 for all three days. Vehicle camping is $10, $20 for RVs and trailers of 15 feet or less, $30 for RVs and trailers 16 feet and longer. Parking is $20, or $10 for vehicles with three or more passengers. For tickets, go to For more information, go to

The lineup Aug. 11 is the Big Love Band at 12:30 p.m., Highway 16 Rockin' Blues at 2:30 p.m., Colby James at 4:30 p.m., Clear Nothing at 5:30 p.m., Suped Up Fjord at 7:30 p.m., Dirty Zen at 9:30 p.m., and Terrance Mulligan at 11:30 p.m. At 12:30 a.m., a music-and-lasers show will be presented in the circus tent.

The lineup Aug. 12 is Kid Karaoke at 9 a.m., MearaKat at 10 a.m., Patience N James at 11 a.m., Honey Babe at 12:30 p.m., Chris Eakes at 1:45 p.m., Melenkil at 3 p.m., Lumen at 5 p.m., Hinges at 7 p.m., Walking Bear at 9 p.m., Fire Show at 10:45 p.m., Green Room at 11:45 p.m., and at 1:45 a.m., music and lasers in the circus tent.

The lineup Aug. 13 is Kid Karaoke at 9:30 a.m., Jon Reynolds at 10:30 a.m., Lost Above the Owls at 11:30 a.m., Gayla Soldano at 1 p.m., Motor Car at 2 p.m., and the circus tent at 4 p.m.

Vendors will include Dale's Mobile Kitchen, Chronic Clam, Lil' Duckies Mini-Donuts, Coffee Amazing, Lemonades, Shyla Hall and Korean Barbecue.
