The Savannah Sipping Society

Bake sale, raffle Saturday at Hood Canal Food Bank

The Hood Canal Food Bank hosts a raffle, luncheon and bake sale from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 331 N. Finch Creek Road, behind the Hoodsport Fire Hall.

Raffle tickets are $1, or six for $5. The raffle drawing is at 2 p.m., and you must be present, or answer the phone, to receive the prize. A lunch of hot dog or chili dog, potato or macaroni salad, chips, ice cream and a drink for $10.

Performers sought for upcoming Harstine Island show

The Harstine Island Theatre Club is auditioning performers for "The Short Show II," a collection of new lighthearted monologues, poetry and original works.

Auditions are scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. July 7, and noon to 5 p.m. July 8 and 9. Schedule an audition appointment with director Daniel Frishman at 360-426-2214 or email [email protected]. Bring performance material that lasts between three and five minutes - it does not need to be memorized. No drop-ins. The show is staged at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, and 2 p.m. Aug. 27 and Sept. 3.
