Laurie Kathryn Olenik

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurie Kathryn Olenik, 67, due to heart failure on June 12th, 2023.Laurie was a longtime Shelton resident moving to Mason County in 1989 'til present.

Laurie was a wonderful, loving, big-hearted person who touched many lives. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who was always there for her family and friends. Her grace, warmth and humor made her the best friend, and mother anyone could ask for. Laurie was an active, in "good standings" Aerie member of the Shelton Eagles (FOE #3862). Her interests included: Family, friends, her animals, flowers, yardwork, arts & crafts, and donating to her community.

Laurie will be greatly missed by her surviving family members: Husband, Ronald S. Olenik; brother, James (Jim) Hurja (Susan) of Las Vegas, NV; son, Shane Hall, two grandsons, Gabe and Alex Hall of Yelm, WA, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris E. and father, James Huria and grandparents.

Her love, kindness and warmth will live on in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life service is being held at the Shelton Eagles Club (FOE#3862) on July 15th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. 411 S. 1st St, Shelton WA 98584.
