Shelton falls to Ridgefield in District opener

The Highclimbers lost 3-2 to Ridgefield on Tuesday in the opening round of the District IV baseball tournament in Ridgefield.
Shelton took an early lead but was unable to hang on. The Highclimbers had the tying run on third base in the top of the seventh inning.
The Highclimbers faced Mark Morris on Wednesday in Ridgefield in a loser-out game. If Shelton wins, they will play the loser of Tumwater-Columbia River on Friday at 3 p.m. in Ridgefield with a spot in the state tournament on the line.
