Grant School hosts plant, art, bake sale

The Pickering Community Club hosts its annual Plant, Art & Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grant School, 151 E. Community Club Road.

Annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, succulents, ornamentals, native plants and more are on sale. Local artists will sell their works. Desserts will be on sale. New this year is a free seed and bulb exchange. Bring your leftover seeds or bulbs or pick up some free for your garden.

Proceeds will benefit the Grant School, a former one-room schoolhouse and current community gathering venue off of East Pickering Road. Information: http://www.thegrantschool.org.

Truss Show and Plant Sale this weekend

United Way spring dessert auction

United Way of Mason County hosts a spring dessert auction from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Shelton Civic Center.

Tickets are $15. Lunch will be served. All proceeds support the group’s programs to help residents in need. To purchase a ticket or offer to help, call the agency at 360-426-4999.

Community Market Saturday in Union

The Hood Canal Improvement Club hosts the Community Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the New Community Church of Union, 951 E. Dalby Road, Union. Lunch is available. Local arts and crafts will be on sale inside the church, and outside, repurpose, reuse and resale items.

Giant garage sale at Kitten Rescue in Shelton Saturday

Kitten Rescue of Mason hosts its quarterly garage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 420 S.E. state Route 3 in Shelton.

Kitten Rescue is a nonprofit organization that receives no public funding.
