The state Legislature's 2023-25 capital budget passed on April 21 includes $1.2 million for The Youth Connection's Shelton Young Adult Transitional Housing project. The money will allow The Youth Connection to buy its building at 123 S. Second St., shown hosting an open mic, and rehabilitate it to accommodate 12 transitional housing spaces for homeless adults ages 18 to 24.
