Aberdeen wins Shelton's Sibley Scramble golf tournament

Aberdeen recorded a team score of 154 to earn a victory at the Sibley Scramble on Monday at Alderbrook Golf Course in Union.

Shelton finished ninth. Alena Hall from Shelton and Lexie DeLisle from W.F. West paired up as a team and carded a 98. Shelton's Ali Sorley and Morgen Shrum shot a 105 and Andrea Fogo and Savannah Oliver recorded a 122.

Aberdeen's Britt Raicich and Kaitlyn McCracken won the tournament with a 68. Elma's Olivia Moore recorded the closest to the pin on hole 12 and Tumwater's Josie Monti recorded the closest to the pin on hole 16. Monti also recorded the longest drive on hole 13 and Elma's Aubrey Moore recorded the longest drive on hole 15.

Shelton is back on the course today against Rochester at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis.

North Mason girls golf

The North Mason girls golf team earned a win against Olympic and a loss against Sequim in an Olympic League girls golf match April 18 at LakeLand Village in Allyn.

The Bulldogs recorded a score of 246, which was good enough to beat Olympic at 254, but not enough to defeat Sequim's score of 210.

North Mason traveled to Peninsula Golf Course in Port Angeles on Tuesday for the Duke Streeter Invitational two-person scramble.

The Bulldog boys golf team lost to Sequim last week in an Olympic League match.

North Mason lost 226-183 at LakeLand Village in Allyn. The Bulldogs traveled to Peninsula Golf Course on Tuesday for the Duke Streeter Invitational and hosts Olympic on Thursday at LakeLand Village.
