Shelton-Mason County Chamber announces awards

The Shelton-Mason County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual awards gala on Friday at Little Creek Casino Resort.

Winners of each category were announced, including Bradley Air Co. winning Business of the Year. Boss of the Year went to Gina Finley of Turning Pointe Survivor Advocacy Center and Citizen of the Year was awarded to Justin Baze and Rookie of the Year went to O'Connell Archery. Nonprofit of the Year was awarded to Shelton Family YMCA and Volunteer of the Year went to John Lester of the Shelton-Mason County Journal. The Chairperson's Choice award was given to Bert and Susan Kirchoff.

"It is such as blessing to shine a light on businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who often may go unnoticed, quietly affecting change and transforming our community," Chamber President and CEO Diedre Peterson told the Journal in an email. "The gala is an opportunity for the chamber to share our gratitude, reflect on the strides being made, nod to our leaders, and gather together in celebration. My thanks goes out to all of our sponsors - Little Creek Casino Resort, The Shopper, Cooper Studios, Edward Jones - Karen Schade & Lori Morgan, Beko's Trees & Woodcarving, Bakala State Farm Insurance, Bradley Air Co., The Optical Shop, EI. Kristyn & Son Construction, and Prime Legal Services - for making the event possible. The entire evening was a glittering success."
