Steven George Bliner, born in Tacoma, WA to Horace Frank Bliner (Skokomish Tribe) and Margaret Hazel (Blogett) Pulsifer (Yakama/Wintu) on January 8, 1940. He passed away on March 26, 2023 of natural causes, he was 82 years old.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Edward "Eddie" Bliner, and survived by brother, Horace Alfred Bliner and sisters Frankie Margaret Mork and Viola Ann Rouse and husband Lloyd. Preceded in death by sister-in-law Bobbie Bliner and brother-in-law Cy Mork.
He married Karla Shonkwiler in 1959 and together they have three daughters. He is survived by his children, Becky Schuffenhauer and husband Randy, Rorilee Dunn and her companion Sonny Johns, Toni Gilbride and husband Richard, son Beau Steven Bliner and his companion Angie Hernandez.
He is survived by grandchildren; Melanie Worf, Jesse Schuffenhauer, Channa Bliner-Smith, Frank Merkle, Nathaniel Merkle, Eddie Kim, Kenny Kim, Jeremy Kim, Bryson Tucker, Joseph Bliner, and Nathan Tucker. Great grandchildren Taylor Dooley, Ava Schuffenhauer, Jacob Schuffenhauer, Dominic Baldwin, Aurora(Rory) Smith, Keith Smith, Aria Kim, Piper Kim, Joseph Bliner, Jr., and Alice Bliner, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Tiffany Kim and one great grandson Jordan Dooley.
He loved playing pool, working on cars, helping others and educating himself on natural remedies. He was always opening his home to others. He believed everyone deserves love and compassion and was a generous man. He was known as "Papa Steve" and loved by many. He will be forever missed. May the sun shine for him every day free of pain.

Graveside services will be held at Shelton Memorial Park Friday, April 28th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with dinner to follow at Skokomish Community Center. A celebration will be held at the family property the following day for those who knew him well.
