Climbers split two

The Shelton High School softball team split two games last week.

The Highclimbers lost to Black Hills, but bounced back with a win against Centralia in Evergreen Conference softball last week.

Shelton lost 8-5 to Black Hills at home April 12 but recovered and won 8-7 against Centralia at home last Friday. The Highclimbers traveled to Chehalis on Monday and lost 19-2 to the Bearcats.

Shelton (3-9, 1-6) hosted Bremerton on Wednesday and is back in action in Shelton on Monday against Centralia.

North Mason

The Bulldogs had three games last week and earned a win against Bainbridge in Olympic League contests.

North Mason fell 12-2 to Olympic on April 11 in Bremerton but bounced back on April 13 with a 21-5 win against Bainbridge at home. The Bulldogs traveled to Port Angeles last Saturday and lost 15-2.

The Bulldogs (3-4, 2-4) hosted North Kitsap on Tuesday in Belfair and travels to face Kingston today in a league game.
