According to the Capitol Land Trust website, the event will help removing invasive plants to help earlier tree plantings fully mature. The Capitol Land Trust orchestrated the donation of the property to the City of Shelton after hearing neighbors’ concerns over a planned timber harvest in 2015. The land trust secured two adjacent properties, which include 52 acres of permanently protected land and Goldsborough Creek shoreline.
