Three Owls make coastal all-league

Mary M. Knight High School has three players on the 1B Coastal League all-league girls basketball team.

Sophomore guard Hailey Morris was named to the all-league first team, just three points shy of being named the league MVP. Sophomore Cloey Fletcher earned first team recognition, coming in third place in the MVP voting.

Senior Hailey Lohman was named an honorable mention.

MMK coach Mike Bateman was named the girls coach of the year.

The Owl boys did not have a player make the all-league team, but the team did earn the sportsmanship award along with Oakville.

Shelton's Henry earns honorable mention

Shelton senior Olivia Henry was the lone girls basketball player to make the Evergreen Conference all-league team.

Henry helped lead Shelton to a 9-11 record after going winless last season.

W.F. West's Julia Dalan was named league MVP and the Bearcats also had the coaching staff of the year.

Two Climbers make EvCo all-league

Shelton's Weetly Cordova and Mason Goos garnered accolades on the Evergreen Conference all-league boys basketball team.

Cordova was named to the all-league second team and Goos was named an honorable mention.

Shelton finished 11-9 and lost to Columbia River in a district pigtail game.

Tumwater's Luke Brewer was named the league MVP.
