El Sarape Cantina and Wilde Irish Pub in downtown Shelton joined forces Sunday for an all-day benefit fundraiser for Shelton resident Elijah Gosset. Gosset, a local bartender and musician, was shot in an alleged incident of domestic violence Feb. 12 in Shelton. Hundreds of people visited both businesses and joined in a silent auction that raised more than $8,800, according to organizers. Another silent auction and benefit is planned for 5 p.m. Friday at The Cabin Tavern.
