Lighted Boat Parade set for next weekend

The Shelton Yacht Club is hosting its holiday boat parade at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10 at the Oakland Bay Marina. According to a news release, the boats will depart from the Oakland Bay Marina, travel down Hammersley Inlet and turn around just past Libbey Point before returning to Oakland Bay. The round trip takes about 2 1/2 hours. The public is welcome and invited to the Oakland Bay Marina guest dock to view the decorated boats before they depart. You do not have to be a Shelton Yacht Club member to participate.
