Soup & Song benefit helps people in need

Love INC (In the Name of Christ) of Mason County hosts its annual fundraiser Soup & Song Benefit Concert at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Shelton Presbyterian Church, 1430 E. Shelton Springs Road, Shelton.

The event includes raffles, eight homemade soups, a live auction for 22 “high-end” desserts, a silent auction for simpler desserts, and performances by Christian rock singer Jay Jenkins and Hoodsport harpist Megan Cylwik. Tickets are $15, and are available at the church the day of the event, or beforehand at the Love INC office at 109 S. 2nd St. in downtown Shelton or by calling the office at 360-462-5683.

Love INC and its 25 partner churches will use the money to help people in need by providing goods and services such as clothing, blankets, furniture, backpacks for children, diapers, medical equipment and financial help. The pandemic prevented the fundraiser last year.
