Opening night

The Shelton High School boys basketball team opened its season Tuesday night at Terry Gregg Court in Shelton with a 55-34 nonleague win against Elma. Tyler Ireland (21) led the Highclimbers with 17 points, Tobyn Dudley scored nine points and Chuckie Thompson and Matai Lei Sam each added eight points. Shelton's Ireland puts up a layup while defended by Elma's Canon Seaberg.
