James Dalton Edwards

James "Jim" Dalton Edwards a local retired shellfish farmer and outdoorsmen died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the age of 82, at his home in Shelton, WA. Jim was born in grand Junction, Colorado, on June 21, 1939. He graduated from Shelton High School in 1957. After joining the Army and serving in Germany, he returned home and worked as a commercial fisherman. He then purchased his own shellfish farming business and worked doing what he loved until retiring at age 80.

Jim, affectionately known as 'Papa', was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Jim is survived by his children James Edwards and Donna Edwards, step children, Gail Gray and Carrie Lemmon, six grandchildren and his siblings Virginia Carl, Nancy Irwin and Tom Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Comanche.
