Shirley Marie Grover, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2021, of natural causes. She was born February 5, 1941, to Melchoir and Theresia Wagner in Linton, North Dakota and was the youngest of nine children.
Shirley spent the majority of her life in Wyoming living in Buffalo and moving to Sheridan Wyoming after the death of her husband, Garris Grover in 1992. She worked for Safeway for 25 years and Ace Hardware/Ben Franklin for 12 years until she retired for the second time. She moved to Shelton, Washington, in 2015, to be closer to her daughter.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time working out in her yard. She also quilted and made many beautiful pieces that her family treasures. She loved talking to neighbors and friends and participating in activities where she resided. Her dog Mia provided love and constant companionship for the past 11 years. She found comfort at church as a member of Faith Lutheran in Shelton.
Shirley is survived by her sister Lee Burcham; her son Leigh Braley and wife Shawna; her daughter Tonya Youngquist and husband Chad; and her 4 grandchildren, Ashlyn Braley, Preston Braley, Ryan Youngquist and Tyler Youngquist. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
A memorial service was held on October 5, 2021, at Faith Lutheran in Shelton, Washington.
