Roland Cuzick passed away December 3, 2024, born in Arkansas in 1939 to Eddie Walter (Rufus) Cuzick and Dorothy Lee Edens (Cuzick).
He settled in the Minerva Beach area, known as Potlatch State Park, in 1942. He attended school at the Lower Skokomish grade school with siblings Reba Tibbits, Norma Brown and Melvin Cuzick, all previously of Shelton.
Roland graduated from Shelton High School in 1959, worked for Simpson Timber Company, married Darlene Dronen from Shelton, and then relocated to Alaska. Working in the logging industry in the summers and at Alaska Lumber and Pulp Mill in the winters. Roland worked for Certified Manufacturing, Precision Machine, and operated the Shell Service Station on Mt. View. With auto repair as a self-taught trade, his first car was a 1949 Chev. Auto mechanics were always part of his life.
He married Rose Bredeson from Minnesota, adding three more to the family; Carol Hoosier Carlson, Alan Bredeson, Deann Maples, all from the Puget Sound area. They were married 42 years.
Other interests included guns, family motorcycle outings and races, camping at the ocean, scuba diving, bowling and the older country music.
Survived by daughters Carolyn Studer, Terri Couraud, Genna Miller and son, Karl Cuzick, and many nieces, nephews, grand and great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
