Mason County PUD 3 will replace a complex pole on state Route 3, which requires an overnight outage Monday in Allyn.

According to a news release, the replacement pole will improve system reliability and meet state Department of Transportation clearance requirements. The outage from 10 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday will affect 95 customers in Allyn. Those customers will be notified by mail.

During the outage, PUD 3 recommends unplugging sensitive appliances and electronic equipment until power has been restored for at least 20 minutes. Surge protectors are recommended. The work at night is necessary to avoid blocking traffic on state Route 3.
