North Mason softball defeats Bremerton 19-5

Shelton baseball

The Highclimber baseball team wrapped up the regular season with four Evergreen Conference games last week.

Shelton opened the week April 25 with a 2-1 win at home against Black Hills before going to Tumwater to face the Wolves on April 26 and lost 7-4. The Highclimbers hosted Tumwater on Thursday for senior day, losing 14-4 and wrapped up the regular season with a 16-12 loss on the road Friday against Rochester.

Shelton (10-10) is in third in the EvCo and waits to find out who they will face in the district tournament.

Shelton boys soccer

Shelton dropped two Evergreen Conference matches last week.

The Highclimbers lost 4-3 in Rochester on April 25 before losing 6-0 on the road Friday against Aberdeen.

Shelton (3-9, 3-8) hosted Black Hills on Tuesday to wrap up the season.

Shelton softball

The Highclimbers earned a win but lost twice in Evergreen Conference softball games last week.

Shelton lost 13-1 on the road Wednesday against Tumwater, but were back in Tumwater on Friday to face Black Hills and earned a 2-0 win. Shelton hosted Rochester on Monday and lost 11-0.

Shelton (6-11, 2-8) hosted Aberdeen on Wednesday, heads back to Tumwater to face Black Hills on Friday before completing the regular season on Monday at home for senior night against W.F. West.

Shelton girls tennis

Shelton earned a 4-2 win against Aberdeen last Thursday in an Evergreen Conference girls tennis match.

Shelton's Evelyn Allen and Teagan Orme each had wins in singles. Nevaeh Haskins and Hannah Pratt, and Adalyn Kapa and Josefina Francisco-Zacarias earned wins for the Highclimbers in doubles.

The Highclimbers lost 6-0 at home against W.F. West on senior day. Seniors Caxhandra Medina, Karen Rivas Baires, Kapa, Haskins and Pratt were all honored before the match.

Shelton wrapped up the regular season with matches on the road against Black Hills on Tuesday and Aberdeen on Wednesday. The district tournament begins May 8 at Steamboat Island Tennis Club in Thurston County.

Shelton track

Shelton finished third in a three-team Evergreen Conference track meet on Wednesday in Chehalis.

In girls results, Maryjane Hageman won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.76 seconds and finished second in the 300-meter hurdles. Taylin Vandyke won the discus in 98 feet, 2 inches. Moa Skold won the high jump with a height of 4 feet, 6 inches. Magdalena Vondrousova placed second in the 800-meter race and Lily Bennett finished second in the 1,600-meter race. Olivia Henry finished second in javelin and Delfina Ramirez took second in the triple jump.

In boys results, Landon Bursch won the 400-meter race in 55.89 seconds. Jacob Miller won the 800-

meter race in 2:00.45 and Jaydon Blackburn won the 1,600-meter race in 4:41.26. Anthony Sanchelli won the shot put in 45 feet, 2 inches and won the discus with a throw of 134 feet, 11 inches. Cameron Huisingh placed second in the high jump.

The 4x100 relay team of Huisingh, Nathan Gomez, Gavin Nielsen-Ricker and Bradely Eleton won in 46.23 seconds.

Shelton competed at the Olympia DMR at Ingersoll Stadium in Olympia and will compete at the 57th Shaner Invitational on Friday at Tumwater District Stadium.

North Mason baseball

The Bulldogs lost four Olympic League baseball games last week.

North Mason lost 6-5 against Sequim on Monday in Sequim and by the same score in Belfair on Wednesday. The Bulldogs hosted Bainbridge on senior night Friday and lost 13-1 and traveled to Bainbridge on Monday, falling 11-1.

North Mason wraps up the season today in Kingston for a league game.

North Mason boys golf

The Bulldogs lost 224-185 to Olympic on Thursday at LakeLand Village Golf Course in Allyn.

North Mason hosted Port Angeles on Tuesday for senior day at LakeLand Village and travels to Port Ludlow today for the Viking Mixed Invitational. North Mason competes in the 2A/3A Olympic League Golf Championships at Kitsap Golf and Country Club on Monday.

North Mason boys soccer

North Mason earned two wins last week in Olympic League boys soccer games.

The Bulldogs traveled to Bremerton on Tuesday and won 2-1. North Mason was back in Bremerton on Thursday against Olympic and won 2-0.

North Mason faced Kingston on Tuesday in Belfair on senior night and wraps up the regular season in Poulsbo on Friday against North Kitsap.

North Mason softball

North Mason had two wins and a loss last week.

The Bulldogs lost 11-0 to Port Angeles in Belfair on Tuesday. North Mason traveled to Bremerton on Thursday and defeated the Knights 19-5 in six innings. North Mason traveled to Quilcene on Monday for a nonleague game, earning a 24-3 win in five innings.

North Mason hosted Sequim on Tuesday and takes on Olympic today in Belfair on senior day.

North Mason girls tennis

North Mason dropped a match last week in Olympic League girls tennis action.

The Bulldogs lost 6-1 at home Wednesday against Sequim.

North Mason wrapped up the regular season Tuesday in Belfair against Bainbridge on senior day. The Bulldogs are competing in the Olympic League tournament today and Friday at North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo.

Mary M. Knight track

Andiana Ziegler won three events for Mary M. Knight at a league meet in Elma on Thursday.

Ziegler won the 400-meter race in 1:07.93, the 800-meter race in 2:55.64 and the 1,600-meter race in 6:33.09.

Zoie Anderson placed third in the high jump with a height of 4 feet, 2 inches.

In boys results, Logan Green finished fifth in the high jump, seventh in the 800-meter race and triple jump, and ninth in the 1,600-meter race.

MMK was back on the track for the final regular season meet at a league meet Tuesday in Eatonville.
