Cherie Ann Blake

Cherie Ann Blake, 71, passed away on April 1, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.

Cherie was born on September 7, 1951, to Leroy and Shirley (Adams) Miljour in Shelton, WA. She graduated from Shelton High School in 1969 and remained in Shelton for the rest of her life.

Cherie worked most of her adult life at Taylor Shellfish Farms. After she retired from Taylor's, she and her husband Rick would pack up their RV in the winter and travel down south to explore new places and visit friends. They would do this for years. Cherie was no "snow-bird" though; she would never stay away from home for more than two months as she did not like to be gone too long from her family.

Cherie enjoyed spending time with her family above all else; she also enjoyed camping, quilting, crocheting, knitting and reading.

Cherie was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Miljour. She is survived by her husband, Rick Blake; her children Adam (Chalcy) Blake and Amy (Ronald) Braakman; grandchildren Alex, Carlie, Kees and Blake; her mother Shirley Miljour; her brother Alan (Julie) Miljour and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held on April 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Shelton, WA.
