Free dinner for Veterans

Active duty and combat veterans, and their

spouses, are invited to a free combat veterans’ dinner hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars at 5 p.m. Dec. 17 at Veterans Memorial Hall, 210 W. Franklin Ave., downtown Shelton. For more information, contact Mike Brown at 360-490-1350 or [email protected].

Choirs, quintet perform Christmas concert

Women of Note, the Harstine Island Community Choir perform a “Sounds of Christmas” concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Harstine Island Community Hall, 3371 E. Harstine Island Road N.

Donate blood, receive lunch

Give blood and receive a free barbecue lunch Dec. 22 and 23 at the North Mason Regional Fire Authority, 490 NE Old Belfair Highway, Belfair.

The lunches are courtesy of the fire authority and Scott McLendon’s. Appointments to donate blood are required at BloodworksNW.org or by calling 1-800-398-7888.

Group stages musical

Connection Street Theatre stages “A Christmas Carol Musical,” shown at right, at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church, 1212 Connection St., Shelton.

Tickets are available at the door or faithshelton.org/connection-street-theatre. Admission is $5.
