Kay Frances Kyle, 78, born January 19, 1944, of Tacoma, passed away October 20, 2022. Kay was married twice and is survived by two sons, Joel and Ryan; two grandchildren, Savina and Evan; and her loving and devoted partner of 37 years, Larry Tommervik.

Kay was born in Bremerton, WA, to Gene and Helen Demiero, with eight sisters and three brothers. Kay supported herself at Pacific Lutheran University, earning a Master’s degree. She taught English, Drama, AP English, and Psychology with Tacoma Public Schools, at Gray Middle School and Wilson High School. Kay directed countless theater productions, mentored thousands of students on to college, and organized holiday meals to scores of needy families.

Kay loved her many students, her rose garden, Huskies football, Gonzaga basketball, and pro tennis. She had a sharp sense of humor and pride in her Italian roots. A private service will be held for family. Please donate in Kay’s name to your local food bank or St Jude’s Children's Hospital.
