Mildred "Milli" Eddy

Mildred “Milli” Eddy, 91, passed away on September 14, 2022, at home in Shelton, WA.

Milli was born in Olympia, WA on June 12, 1931, to Aubrey and Elizabeth Johnston. She moved to Shelton just before her senior year and graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1949. After high school she worked as a telephone operator. She was married to Billy Kempton from 1950 to 1967and they had two sons. From 1961 to 1978, she worked for Seattle First National Bank as a proof machine operator. She married Myron Eddy in 1968 and they were married for 20 years. They worked together at Capital City Press in Olympia, WA for several years before his death in 1988.

Milli enjoyed watching Mariners baseball, solving crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with her family. She also loved to be outside and going for walks. She inspired her family to stay active and have adventures and fun as much as possible. She attended the Assembly of God and Mt. View Alliance churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Judith Johnston, a brother, Dallas Johnston, her husbands Billy Kempton and Myron Eddy, and a granddaughter, Jaime Northness. She is survived by her sons, Ken Kempton and Dan Kempton (Patti), of Shelton, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
