Eva Lynn Lorberfeld

Eva Lynn Lorberfeld passed away on July 24, 2022 from an aggressive brain cancer that was only detected 10 days prior. Eva was born on July 11, 1975, to Michael and Deborah Kirpes in Tacoma, WA.

Eva was proud growing up in a military family and cherished new and exciting places. Her love of the outdoors and the Pacific Northwest brought her and family "back home" where she constantly stated that this was the best life ever.

Eva dedicated her two careers to children. Eva earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. For ten years Eva managed a family law firm in North Carolina. Eva was an elementary school teacher in Swansboro, NC, then Shelton, WA. Eva was a beloved First Grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary School. Her passion to be with her "kiddos" brought her incredible joy. She was affectionately known at school as the adored "Mrs. L".

As some say, Eva really was the sun in so many lives; a natural leader always complimenting and encouraging others. She lived a life of making this world a better place. If you were fortunate enough to know her, you would feel her energy and charismatic magnetism. Eva knew no strangers; she had the amazing ability to form instant friendships. Her generosity continued after her death with her gift of sight to two other people.

Eva is survived by her husband Charles, her daughters Sophia Lorberfeld and Alexis Shew, son David Shew, her granddaughter Madeline, parents Michael and Deborah Kirpes and sisters Melanie Kirpes and Jennifer Ingram. Her sister Stephanie Kirpes passed away prior.
