Jacqueline S. (Jackie) Dagle

Jacqueline S. (Jackie) Dagle, 77, of Lacey, Washington, passed peacefully July 3, 2022. Jackie was born December 16, 1944, in Bremerton, Washington to Ruth and Russell "Tex" Southerland.

She grew up in Bremerton with her three older sisters, Wanda Tracy, Donna Southerland and Carol Rahm and her younger brother, Mike Southerland. She married William Dagle on October 16, 1965, at the Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bremerton. Together they moved to Shelton and had three children, Terri K. Gilman, Jill L. Tullar and Steve A. Dagle. She resided in Shelton, Washington with her husband and three children most of her life. She loved being a mother and raising her children. Family and Faith were the most important things to Jackie.

In her younger years she enjoyed camping with her children, canning, cooking, baking, and sewing for them. She was an avid Yahtzee player. She loved reading and reading to her children and grandchildren. As she got older, she loved to cook and sew, but also became quite the knitter. She loved making washcloths for family and friends. She also made blankets for her grandchildren, friends and the United Methodist Church. She sewed many Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was the Chief Accountant for the Mason County Auditor's Office. She retired in 1992 after many years of service. She enjoyed her job, as she liked working with numbers. She was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church. For many years she was their bookkeeper and wedding coordinator.

Jackie was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, her daughter Terri K. Gilman, and her sister and brother-in-law Rod and Wanda Tracy. She is survived by her children Jill Tullar and Steve Dagle, her siblings Donna Southerland, Carol Rahm and Mike Southerland. Jackie is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will be having a private service and respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers please send donations to the United Methodist Church in her honor.
