Leah Delores (Needham) Allen

Leah Allen from Federal Way, WA, passed away from complications after having hip surgery on October 26, 2021. She was born in Havre, Montana in 1932. Parents were Gerald and Stephana (Vylasek) Needham. Leah and her brothers and sisters attended schools in Shelton, WA, while the family lived at Dayton Peak Lookout Station. Her parents worked for the Dept. of Forestry State of Washington. This is where Leah learned her skills in forestry. Later in life, she worked for the Dept. of Forestry at three different lookout stations, Dow Mt, Haul Creek and Brittian. While living and working at these stations, she was able to raise two of five children. Leah also worked at various jobs until she retired.

Leah was preceded in death by her husband Clarendon Allen, two children Jesse Warren and Sonja Jean, and her brother Charles E. Needham.

Leah is survived by three of five children, Christine Hayes, Clad Allen, Gerald Allen, two sisters, Opal Bernice Kessler, Geraldine Worsley, one brother, Steve Needham and 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild. Leah will be laid to rest with her mother and father in Shelton at Forest Cemetery. Leah will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be no formal services at this time.
