    James "Jim" Dalton Edwards a local retired shellfish farmer and outdoorsmen died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the age of 82, at his home in Shelton, WA. Jim was born in grand Junction, Colorado, on June 21, 1939. He graduated from Shelton High School in 1957. After joining the Army and serving in Germany, he returned home and worked as a commercial fisherman.     In updated election results released by Mason County at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, Miguel Gutierrez took a three-vote lead over George W. Blush in the Shelton City Council Position No. 7 race. Blush led Gutierrez in Tuesday’s first vote count by 23 votes. The lead shrank to a single vote in Wednesday’s second count. After Thursday’s count, which is the last scheduled until 4 p.m. Wednesday, Gutierrez led 714-711. In North Mason, the North Mason School District levy is now passing by 43 votes.
