Mason County Public WorksBridge Replacement Consultant Design Services REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES Mason County Department of Public Works is requesting qualifications from Consultants for the following project: Harstine Island Bridge Deck Repair: Br #300000019 – Structure ID 07996900; Funded through the 2019 Bridge Program (BRAC) This project calls for the removal of the delaminated unsound deck concrete and installing a durable lightweight polyester overlay on the existing 1466-foot-long by 24 ft wide structure providing protection of the reinforcing steel and sealing the deck preventing further deterioration. This structure is the only route to and from the island for its population of over 1,000 residents and emergency services. ADT is 2155 vehicles per day. This project will include a traffic control plan to keep the bridge open to traffic during construction. Consultant services are to include location, character, and dimensions of prescribed work including layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and other details, such as, complete existing deck repair design, necessary documents required for Mason County Public Works to obtain the required environmental permits, new bridge deck design, preparation of plans, preparation of technical specifications, construction cost estimate (PS&E), construction engineering support, Traffic Control Plan, and bridge load ratings per NBI & WSBIS. • Bridge Load Rating requirement is HL93 Mason County encourages disadvantaged, minority, and women owned consultant firms to respond.
