Shelton High School students who sang with the All-State Choir of the Washington Music Educators Association are, from left to right, Alex Davis-Brazill, Brad Merrin and Erika Christensen. They are students of Paul Nakhla.

Already a history buff, Pioneer sixth-grader Alexander Bidwell was thrilled at seeing authentic historical documents at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., on his recent People to People trip to that area.

OUTGOING GRAPEVIEW Superintendent Jim Snyder, at left, is seen here with retiring teacher Lora Hewins and his replacement, Dale Almlie.

KAREN LIPPY refers to her husband, Erik, a cancer survivor, as her hero. They will be performing with the band Aged to Perfection at the North Mason Relay For Life at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 15.
