The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree last week started its tour around Washington State before heading east to Washington, D.C. Clockwise from upper left, the tree is lifted onto a trailer
by a crane in the Wynoochee area of Olympic National Forest. A 4-H Forestry Leadership crew from Shelton attends the tree cutting and one member is interviewed by a video team. Governor Christine Gregoire speaks at the Capitol Rotunda in
Olympia as choir members from Shelton High School listen. Students from Oakland Bay Junior High display ornaments they made that will go on the tree. |
