Climberville's big night
Shelton's homecoming royalty gets a packed-house sendoff Friday night in Highclimber Stadium. On a regally undraped knee in front is Her Majesty herself, Queen Micah Hart.
In billowy "crown" behind her is King Hunter Jeffreys. And from left around them are their gentlemen and ladies in waiting, Isaiah Taito, Sarah Dahl, Leah Vazquez, Joy Marie Olels, Tony Enslow and Jared Hicks. The Climbers clobbered Olympic
52-0 to remain unbeaten.

Planning the schools of tomorrow
A Shelton High School student walks by a new sign with the new name of the old middle school. Now that the school district is putting the finishing touches on its old building plan, a new strategic
plan is in the works. Parents of elementary students were invited to give their ideas on Wednesday. Parents of high-school students can do the same from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, in the Shelton High School Library. Parents of middle-school
and junior-high students can comment from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, at the Oakland Bay Junior High School. Those planning to attend are asked to make reservations by phoning Alison Nutt at 426-8231. Other community members are also
invited to attend these assemblies.

Waterwheel in repose
Two views of the Dalby Waterwheel. Above is a photograph of the Union landmark as it is now, awaiting restoration on private property off the old portion of State Route 106.
Below is an artist's rendition by Jora Lee of what it will look like after it is relocated to the new section of State Route 106 along with an area for viewing. The Hood Canal Improvement Club has developed a proposal for relocating the
waterwheel. The plan is to rebuild the waterwheel with new bearings and 28 metal buckets using the original exterior material.
